Is it bluegrass? Is it jazz? Is it classical, ragtime, country, or Celtic?  If Pianafiddle is performing, the answer is YES!  Starting with only the framework of familiar melody, longtime jazz pianist Lynn Wright and classical violinist and fiddler Adam De Graff have teamed as a unique duo who improvise as they go.  They blend the known and the unknown in gripping performances that touch the soul and make toes tap and hands clap!  Traditionally grounded, yet spontaneous, Pianafiddle rises to a new performance model, totally captivating and delighting its audience with each selection.

How these two very different musicians ended up together in the first place is a mystery, even to them.  Lynn has enjoyed a long musical career as a jazz and ragtime pianist, including a ten-year stint as the resident ragtime pianist at the world-famous Silver Dollar Saloon in Jackson, Wyoming.   Adam is a classically trained orchestral violinist and chamber musician, having served most recently a five season tenure with The Richmond Symphony Orchestra.  Their separate paths led them both to West Virginia in 2003, where each recognized in the other a complementary talent: soulful, spontaneous, improvisational piano playing by Wright, technically superb and emotionally powerful violin playing by De Graff
