|
The Stage Alive Community Concert Association covers the
counties of Culpeper, Fauquier, Louisa, Madison, Orange,
Rappahannock and Spotsylvania. Each year we award a
$1,000 scholarship to a high school senior graduating from a
public or private high school in one of the seven counties
and intending to pursue or continue his or her musical
studies at a university, college or conservatory.
Applications for consideration for this scholarship must be
made by the student personally by mail (not by email). The
deadline for our receipt of an application is March 31. The
winner of the scholarship will be publicly announced at the
Stage Alive's concert in April.
The application should be supported by a copy of the
student's most recent high school transcript and a letter
from the tertiary school confirming the offer of a place for
the next academic year. In addition a written
endorsement from the student's school music teacher, and, if
applicable, from a private, qualified tutor should accompany
the application. The student must provide, in writing, a
resume of accomplishments so far and a statement describing
his/her interest in musical studies and, perhaps, intention
as far as a career in music is concerned.
The completed application should be mailed to Stage Alive
Community Concert Association, P.O Box 564, Locust Grove, VA
22508.
